After finishing this project we got some extra feedback from Artvark, which we like to share with you. The mouthpiece for the alto saxophone, Meijer 8, was tested another time by two other musicians of Artvark. Yesterday we had the science fair! This was a nice event where every group showed their results of their project. So did we! Here is an overview of the modific.
3D design of tissue engineered ear cartilage. The evolution of the ear. It is nice to see that the press is interested in the subject and that they are just as enthusiastic about the project as we are! To read the full article, click on the picture below. Fourth meeting in the VUmc.

Final reflection of the project. The day of the science fair. After everything was set up, we were quite surprised of how much work all teams have done in such a short time! Final.
Print your own Rembrandt in 3D. At the start of the project, we did not have much knowledge about what we were going to do, and what would be expected of us. During the first week were mostly researching our domain, and quickly came to the conclusion our research would focus on the topography, instead of the visual aspect involving light. Throughout the project, this seemed the right choice. Science Fair Industrial Design-faculty 29-10-13.
This month has given us some insights in 3D-printing and visions of the future of 3D-printing. We know now that there is a world of products available for free if you have a 3D-printer, called Thingiverse. After a month of printing, we have fallen for it and will keep on printing. We would like everyone who has helped us with our research! A lot of peop.
In retrospect we can all agree it was a succesful project. We have learned how to work with the SCRUM Project type. The method caused most of us to show up early so work could continue as a group effort each day. In the end we had a working simu.

New depth sensors such as the one embedded in the MS Kinect system work in real-time, enabling to create an instant 3D scan of objects. In this project, we are exploring a large-scale installation that demonstrates this by a 400 array of motors and LEDS. This work includes interaction design, hard-coding and lots of soldering etc. The result will be put on exhibit on various international shows.
